A little insight into my life and profession

Today I began work on a deck extension.  The extension is goingto be a 15 by 16 foot extension that includes an angled front area.  The objective today was to put up a ledger board that supports the majority of the weight by attaching the deck to the foundation of the house.  In order to do this we had to drill 8 inch holes through our foundation.  This requires no ordinary drill, but an extraordinary Hammer Drill.  The Hammer Drill does basically what you would imagine.  It quickly pounds a dense bit into the concrete and you have to turn the bit manually (by hand) as that drill pound the bit deeper and deeper.  Our goal was to get all 10 holes done today.  I worked for about 2 hours and needless to say only got 2 and a half holes completed.  Not very efficient work, but it took a toll on my body pounding my shoulder over and over again.  I hope to finish another hole or two tomorrow, but I don’t know because the grass is in desperate need of a cut.
